Spotlight on Ice Prince

September 5th, 2011

Ice Prince began writing music in 1998 and later formed a group with a couple of his friends called the Ecomog Squad. They had a few performances as a group and split a year later. In 2009 Ice Prince participated in the Hennessy artistry competition which featured the likes of Bez, Mo’cheddah, Blaise, and Jimmy Flames and he won the competition with his lead single “Badman”. In 2004 he met hit makers – the Abaga brothers – M.I. and Jesse Jagz at a young persons’ forum. Together with M.I., Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Eve, and Taz formed what is now known as ‘Loopy’. In the same year his debut single “Extraordinary” was released. In 2010 the young rapper lived up to the hype and delivered a smash hit under the Chocolate City label titled “Oleku” featuring label mate Brymo.
