The Little Monster comes out to play

Lady Gaga might have been spoofed in Die Antwoord‘s new music video, but she doesn’t seem bothered in the slightest.

(But fair warning: It’s definitely not for sensitive viewers.)

She took to Twitter saying, “I fink u freaky but you don’t have a hit. Hundred thousand tickets sold in SA. #thatmyshit”. She added, “I guess its not a good idea to tell someone you’re a fan. Never mind! We get it, you’re not a little monster. WE GOT IT”.

Their response? “lady… even tho u r ‘larger’ than us… we still cooler than u… plus we don’t have prawns in our private”.

The spat is over Die Antwoord’s latest video, Fatty Boom Boom. In the video, the Gaga lookalike is seen in her iconic meat dress driving around Johannesburg.

After a short tour of the city centre, in which she spots hyenas and lions, the taxi in which she is traveling is hijacked. She is then seen running through the streets of the city trying to get help. Ultimately the Born This Way singer looses her battle for freedom, when she is seemingly mauled by one of our “pet lions” in the streets of Jozi at the end of the video.

Earlier this year the band’s Yolandi Vi$$er and Ninja turned down an offer to tour with Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta. This sparked a lot of controversy online and with this latest addition to their apparent feud, it looks like Gaga isn’t holding backing down.

We’ll keep you posted on this social media ‘Twar’ as it develops… Oh and did we mention, Gaga is hitting South African shores in just over a month. Check out this clip:
