AKA

He's had one of the most impressive mounts to the top of the South African Hip Hop hierarchy. And while he's undoubtedly at the peak of his career, AKA has announced that his upcoming album Touch My Blood will, in fact, be his last.

Supa Mega, who first revealed that the hotly anticipated album might mark his departure from the game in a tweet that was met with shock and resistance from his fans on Sunday, confirmed through his team on Monday that the follow-up to his critically acclaimed collaborative project with Anatii - Be Careful What You Wish For, will not be having a sibling.

AKA's management confirmed the news to TshisaLive. "He wants to pursue other interests beyond", explained his Tshiamo Letswene, the Star Signs' rapper's manager.

Adding; "He is a father and a businessman. He has a company to run and he will be focusing on that and other projects. He will always be AKA and will dip in and out of music."

Letswene also revealed that the album will be hitting the shelves in May 2018.

The announcement comes just days after AKA teased snippets of an unreleased single he is working on with Tweezy. The two recently reconciled after long-standing tensions.
