After a stellar year of breaking records and producing multiple top 10 hits - one which went on to become the first solo #1 Billboard Hot 100 by a female rapper since Lauryn Hill led the world's biggest chart back in 1998, Cardi B has finally announced her debut album. The Bodak Yellow rapper thrilled fans when on Monday she announced the news on her social media accounts, dishing out the artwork of her first studio body of work. Entitled Invasion of Privacy, the album is set for release on April 6th!
And with proven chart success throughout 2017, the year in which she became the most formidable female in Hip Hop alongside Nicki Minaj, Cardi will be sure to leverage from the hype around to drive and sustain decent album sales. Amongst her recent notable bangers, Cardi's catalogue boasts solo chart charms Bodak Yellow, Bartier Cardi, as well commercially successful features on such hits as La Modela, the Finesse Remix alongside Bruno Mars, as well her status sealing appearance on Motorsport.
Fans have reacted well to the news. "The world is shaking", remarked one in the comments section of the IG page.
Cardi is yet to reveal more details about the album, leaving speculation about collaborations and production credits anyone's guess until further notice.
