Fans were guessed up by rife speculation of a possible Chance The Rapper album, which was slated to be due for release before the end of this week according to the rumour mill.
It's no surprise. The award-winning rapper hasn't blessed the shelves with any full body of work since 2016's critically acclaimed Coloring Book. So naturally, rumours of an impending surprise album were always likely to catch on like wildfire.
Unfortunately, though, Chance's fans will have to be a little more patient for a new project.
The rapper, who performed in South Africa as part of the Castle Lite Unlocks experience in association with Channel O, took to Twitter to shut down that whole operation.
"I knew you were gonna ruin my week in a matter of seconds", one fan wrote back, obviously not impressed with Chance's 'announcement. Others just asked him to quit playing. New material is needed!
At least he did confirm that he's in the stu working on a new album.
