Just when we thought nothing could possibly top Kylie and Travis Scott premiering a surprise visual documenting their journey to parenthood, and Will Smith dropping a cute parody of his son Jaden's Icon music video to congratulate him for reaching 100 million streams on Spotify, Quincy Jones came through with what has the potential to be the most iconic interview, ever!

In an awesomely candid interview with Vulture, the 28 time Grammy award winning American music producer - whose unparalleled catalogue of great works include Micheal Jackson's Thriller - spills all kinds of tea.

Amongst the many explosive claims and assertions that randomly popped out of that conversation are Quincy's view that "greedy"  Micheal Jackson might have stolen people's work, the Beatles were the "worst musicians" ever, and that he once dated President Donald Trump's daughter - Ivanka Trump.

"She had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life", he said.  "Wrong father, though."

Once all of that was on the table, U2 not making good music anymore came as far less of a shock.

In the interview, Quincy also shares his take on the current state of the music industry. He lambasts contemporary music producers for being mediocre at best. Good music, Jones insists, is well and truly a thing of the past. "Listen to the music — these guys don’t know what they’re doing. You’ve got to respect the gift God gave you by learning your craft."

And although the Oscar nominee is less than impressed with the state of pop as it stands, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper and Sam Smith are doing rather well in his books.

Here's the rest of the interview
