WAJE FT. MUNA



Born Aituaje Iruobe, but mostly known as WAJE which is an acronym for “Words Aren’t Just Enough” is a Nigerian songstress whose vocal range covers three octaves. Waje has shared the stage with various international artists including Wyclef Jean and has opened for Kerry Hilson. She has also worked with major African artists like Banky W, eLDee, IllBliss, M.I, Deep Level and several others. Her 2008 hit “Kolo” earned her a nomination at the Nigeria Music Video Awards for Best New Video and “Somewhere” got a 2010 Hip Hop World Award nomination for Best Vocal Performance (Female). In 2010, she featured on M.I’s “One Naira” which is seen as one of the biggest Nigerian love songs ever made as well as releasing the sweet sounding hit single “For A Minute”. Waje continued to show her diversity and talent by performing on stage in the first musical play in Nigeria “Olorumbi”. In 2011 she released her follow up single – the up-tempo – “So Inspired”, which features Miss Nigeria Muna. The song has become somewhat of a women’s anthem.
